Sarah and Garry have 5 wonderful children, 2 beautiful daughters-in-law, 3 gorgeous grandchildren, and a dog and a cat to help them keep grounded and sane. 
Sarah is a follower of Christ who came to faith through church camps, friends and youth groups as a teenager. Her passion after God is family, and this drives her in her desire to minister to young people, children, parents and families. Her other desire is for all to know how loved they are by our Heavenly Father, how precious they are to Him, and for their lives to be directed by Him, and not the world. Sarah has had wide experience within education and student welfare, working with students and families to enable growth and learning, as well as safety and opportunities.
Garry became a Christian aged 15. Since then, he has served God in church pastoral ministry and in the teaching profession. Teaching, preaching and pastoral ministry are his sweet-spots within a church setting. His heart is to grow in his relationship with Christ, and rejoice in the presence of God. This fires his passion to help raise up, facilitate and lead the local church to fulfil the Great Commission, in a global marketplace, through the power of the Holy Spirit. 
Together, Garry and Sarah know that they have been called to Southland. They are excited to see God continue to unfold this Christ-centred, Bible-based, Spirit-filled church, where people are discipled to lead and impact the Kingdom wherever the Lord places them.
